The Empty Walls of Spain

José Antonio Millán captured these images of walls in Spanish and Latin American cities. Medianeras are load-bearing walls; these have been stripped of their contents, and the ghostly remains are beautiful.

I live in Madrid, Spain, and some of these walls look familiar. I especially like the photo with the bird nest in one of the urinals.
These are wonderful images, the kind of think I like to photograph. They are so rich with story, history, age. It makes me want to find a decaying urban area and take photographs (the town I live - Pacific Grove, CA - in is pretty manicured). Thanks for posting these photos; I’m really glad I found them!
