Chris Burden’s Metropolis II

Henry Joost and Ariel Schulman made a short documentary about Chris Burden‘s incredible kinetic sculpture, Metropolis II. The model city features 1,200 Matchbox-type cars running and a model train. It took four years to make and will open at LACMA this fall.

As a bonus, the video features a great song by Tortoise.
