Transit 511 website now features bikes
As a former car owner, I frequent Transit 511, a great Bay Area website that conveniently maps out public transit routes. It links all the major transit routes, including Muni, BART, AC Transit, samTrans, Golden Gate Transit, various ferry operators, among others.
I was excited to discover that this already great website added a new section, which maps out the best bike routes to take. Although the site is still pretty basic, the idea is great:
511 Bike Mapper route maps, locations of lockers and racks, information on how to take your bike on public transit and across Bay Area toll bridges, how to ride safely in traffic, tips on commuting, bicycle resources and more.
